When you see the AllergyCertified label on a product you can be sure this is a product where there is minimal risk of developing allergy due to usage.
However everybody can be sensitive to different allergens and it is imporant to be clear on the allergens triggering the reactions.

Why is it important to purchase products that are free from phosphates?
Phosphates are chemicals that are really damaging to the environment- particularly aquatic ecosystems. Phosphates lead to over blooming algae that eventually kills all the fish in an aquatic system. This is called eutrophication, and once this occurs, it is irreversibly damaging.
What makes a product “green” and how do I find green products in the store?
A green product is one that is made of sustainably sourced, safe, and naturally derived ingredients. A truly green product should always be transparent as well- that means listing all of the ingredients on the labels, so make sure to look for ingredient listings on all products before you purchase!
Can the color and consistency of products vary and will this affect the quality or efficacy of the product?
Yes, because we use natural ingredients, the color and body of each batch will differ just a little bit. This is natural variation, and will not affect the efficacy of the products.
What does "ICEA" label mean?
ICEA is an international certification organization and has obtained the international accreditation issued by IOAS (International Organic Accreditation Service). ICEA label guarantees cleaning products obtained by favouring the use of biological ingredients, substances of natural origin characterized by a low environmental impact and skin compatibility. The control system also provides for a verification of the performance and product effectiveness, capable of attesting its efficacy with respect to similar products, even if not certified, that have a market leader position.

What does the "Safer Choice" label mean?
Safer Choice is a program of the United State Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that recognizes leaders in green chemistry for using only the safest ingredient available, and also committing to continual improvement through research and development. We are really proud of our partnership with Safer choice, as it demonstrates our technology and commitment to using only the best ingredients available!
What are optical brighteners and why doesn't Ecolunes use them?
Optical brighteners are artificial (or synthetic) ingredients that are often added to laundry detergents to make laundry look “brighter”. They do this by actually leaving a pigment (like a dye), on the fabric’s surface. This is not only damaging to delicate clothes, but bad for the environment: optical brighteners are not biodegradable and are often toxic to aquatic ecosystems.
Is Ecolunes safe to use around pets?
Ecolunes products are absolutely great to use around pets! As pets have little bodies and walk very close to floor surfaces that we clean, they are particularly susceptible to dangerous chemicals. Ecolunes products are perfect to use with your furry loved ones.
Are Ecolunes products suitable for vegans and vegetarians?
They certainly are! We do not use any animal products in any of our products.
What is Ecolunes’s stance regarding animal testing?
At Ecolunes, we LOVE animals!! We never, ever, test on animals.
What are the benefits of using plant-derived ingredients?
Plant-derived ingredients are sustainable! Using ingredients that come from renewable sources allows us to protect our plant’s resources. Petroleum based ingredients, on the other hand, are no sustainable; once we use up all of the Earth’s petroleum sources, there is no way to make more! Plant-derived cleaners are also some of the most gentle cleaners available!
What criteria does Ecolunes use for choosing ingredients?
All of our ingredients are testing to be only the safest, most effective, and purest ingredients in available. We do not use strong caustics, ammonia, phosphates, chlorine bleach, or formaldehyde in our formulas.
